Whole-Body Horse & Rider
Integrative Coaching

Distance sessions with Becca — available to riders anywhere

Most riding instruction addresses position and technique in isolation. This offering looks at the full picture — how your body moves, how you breathe, how tension travels between you and your horse, and how the energetic and emotional state of both partners shapes every ride.

Sessions draw on training and partnership principles, breathwork, and energy awareness alongside foundational biomechanics — supporting riders who want to develop not just skill, but a deeper, more conscious partnership with their horse.

Rooted in hunter/jumper horsemanship with meaningful crossover into general English and western pleasure riding. Open to all levels — beginners, youth, and experienced adult riders alike.

Who This Is For

Riders of any discipline or experience level who feel something is missing from conventional instruction. Those working through tension, inconsistency, or a disconnect with their horse that technique alone hasn't resolved. Riders who are curious about the relationship between their own nervous system, breath, and presence — and how that translates directly to their horse's response.

What We Work With

Breathwork How breath pattern affects rider tension, timing, and the horse's ability to move freely underneath you.
Energy Awareness Recognizing and shifting your energetic state before and during a ride — and how horses read and mirror it.
Training & Partnership Principles Communication, boundaries, consent, and building a relationship with your horse grounded in clarity and trust.
Rider Position & Movement How your body mechanics affect your horse's way of going — addressed through the lens of whole-body awareness rather than correction alone.

How a Session Works

  1. You Submit Your Ride Film 15–20 minutes of a typical schooling session or ride and submit via the booking link. Any discipline, any setting. No special equipment needed — a phone propped at ringside works well.
  2. Becca Reviews in Depth Your footage is reviewed in full — pausing, rewinding, and noting patterns in rider position, breath, tension, timing, and horse-rider dynamics. Turnaround is 3–5 days.
  3. Live 45-Minute Follow-Up Call You and Becca meet by video call to walk through findings, ask questions, and build a practical focus for your next rides. This is where the breathwork, energy, and partnership layers are addressed alongside any positional work.

Riding Lessons — Heart and Home Equine

In-Person Instruction — Heart and Home Equine

Riding Lessons & Instruction

Private lessons at our North Pole facility or at your location — all levels welcome

Riding instruction at Heart and Home Equine blends traditional fundamentals with an integrative approach — addressing not just position and technique, but the breath, body awareness, and energetic presence that shape how horse and rider communicate. Lessons are structured around the individual, not a curriculum, and progress at a pace that builds genuine confidence and feel rather than rushing toward milestones.

Becca brings over a decade of hunter/jumper instruction experience with crossover into general English and trail riding. Whether you are sitting on a horse for the first time or returning to riding after years away, lessons are designed to meet you where you are.

Who This Is For

Complete beginners, youth riders, adult amateurs, returning riders, and horse owners who have never had formal instruction. No prior experience is required. New riders and those working through anxiety or confidence challenges are especially welcome — the pace of each lesson is always guided by the rider, not the clock.

What Lessons Include

Riding Fundamentals Seat, position, balance, and aids — hunter/jumper foundation applicable across English disciplines and trail riding.
Breath & Body Awareness How tension, breath, and physical presence affect the horse underneath you — and how to work with that consciously.
Consent-Based Partnership Building a relationship with the horse rooted in communication and trust rather than compliance and correction.
Energy Awareness Recognizing how your emotional and energetic state shapes your horse's behavior and responsiveness.
A Note on Ground Sessions For new riders and at the instructor's discretion, a precursory ground session before the first mounted lesson is strongly encouraged. Ground work establishes safety awareness, builds initial trust between horse and rider, and gives Becca a clear picture of how to structure mounted work most effectively. This is not a requirement — it is an investment in a better first ride.

Heart and Home Equine is a small, developing facility. Lessons are offered in an honest, low-pressure environment without the amenities of a larger program. Becca brings her full attention and instruction experience to every session regardless of setting. Riding involves inherent risk — all riders are required to wear an approved helmet. Minors must have a parent or guardian present or on-site. Lessons may be cancelled at instructor's discretion due to weather, footing, or safety conditions.
